League Rules

Players use 10sPortal.com at their own risk and agree to adhere to all rules set forth by 10sPortal, LLC.

Competition Format
  • The first round of play is in round robin format and groups are comprised of up to eight players.
  • Each season spans over an 8 week period.
  • The top two players in a group will advance to a single elimination round.
  • Each match is best 2 out 3 sets, no ad scoring with a 15 minute default rule.
  • The player who is awarded the win by default reserves the right to play the match. Should the match be played, the win by default is no longer valid.
  • If the players split sets, they have the option of playing a tie-breaker for the third set instead of a regular set.
  • Each player will bring a new can of balls. The winner keeps both cans.
  • The winner is expected to record his score online within 48 hrs of each match. In the event that the winner fails to record the score, neither player will be awarded points.


Match scheduling
  • All matches will be setup, but not scheduled. The players have two weeks to schedule and play each match. Matches are scheduled at the discretion of the players.
  • A player's home court is derived from the 10sPortal 'Account Settings' screen and can be changed at any time.
  • The player who extends an invitation is responsible for the reservation of the court, as well as all guest fees.
  • If a player declines three match invitations, the player forfeits the match.
  • Each player has 48 hrs to respond to an invitation.
  • In the event that inclement weather impedes match play, 10sPortal will extend the match window an additional week (not to exceed 9 weeks for the entire season).
  • Matches can be played at anytime and in any order. The match deadline is set to help players keep up with their respective play schedules. E-mail reminders are sent out relative to the match deadline.


League Quality, Player Responsibility and Commitment

  • Players are required to respond to ALL invites received. A response can be to Accept, Decline or Suggest a New Time.
  • After 3 un-responded invites, the unresponsive player will receive a warning.
  • If the player continues to be unresponsive, the player will be removed from the season.
  • Should an unforseen circumstance arise that would prevent the player from participating for an extended period of time, the player is responsible for notifying 10sPortal via e-mail as soon as possible. The player will be removed for the season.
  • All fees are non-refundable.


Code of conduct
  • Each player is required to make calls on their side of the court.
  • If one or both players are in disagreement they may play the point again as a resolution.
  • If a resolution cannot be reached, the players may file a grievance within 48 hrs of the match and both players will forfeit the match.
  • If a player walks out on a match, that player automatically forfeits the match.
  • 10sPortal will keep record of any grievance for the purpose of identifying problem players.
  • If the players engage in any type physical altercation, 10sportal reserves the right to ban one or both players from the 10sPortal community. Filing a police report is up to the players.
  • 10sPortal is not responsible for arbitration between the players.
  • Players use 10sPortal at their own risk.
  • Communications between players should pertain to scheduled matches. However, each player may disclose personal information solely at his or her discretion. Should any type of inappropriate communications take place, notify the 10sPortal Administrator immediately by filing a grievance.
  • 10sPortal is not responsible for any and all user actions on or off the court.


Fees
  • Season Fees are $25.00 per person (USD plus tax).


Refund Policy
  • Customers are not charged until the registration deadline has passed. All fees are non-refundable after the registration deadline has passed.


Cancellation Policy
  • Once the registration deadline has passed, all fees are non-refundable. Should an unforeseen circumstance arise that would prevent the player from participating for an extended period of time, the player is responsible for notifying 10sPortal.com via e-mail as soon as possible. The player will be removed for the season.
